Adult & Parental Ministry
Adult & Parental Ministry
In the book of Colossians 3:18-25, the Lord admonished us to build strong family relationships; encouraging our wives to be submissive to their husband, husbands to love their wives and not be harsh to them, fathers not to embitter their children or they become discouraged, and those that serve others to be obedient to those they serve with all their heart and rejoice in their service whether someone is watching or not so that those that are served will treat you the same way you treat them. See also Ephesians 6:1-9. Among many other verses in the Bible, to build a strong relationship within our members’ family and larger church family requires a well-coordinated counseling, material, and spiritual support which can only be achieved through this special and very important ministry. Our children, youth, women, and men need everyone’s support as they grow in body and spirit. Each group has ministry i.e. Men's, Women's, Children, and Youth Ministries. Men's and Women's Ministries are under this Adult-Parental Ministry to enable coordination and collective oversight of both, as a preparatory ground for adult and parental life. When members are called to the vocation and sacrament of the matrimony in a divine and Christian marriage, they need the church family to help them lay the foundation and to be their support as they step into the territory in a world that is extremely hostile to the institution of marriage as constituted by God. In this Ministry, we all have shared responsibility and duty to raise our children, youth, and families in fear of the Lord.
